YAMNOTRI WEATHER
The Char Dham Tirth Yatra starts with Yamunotri, the revered origin of the divine Yamuna River. Nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas, Yamunotri holds deep spiritual significance in Hinduism. It is revered as the origin of the Yamuna, one of the most sacred rivers in India, believed to be the daughter of Surya Dev (the Sun God) and sister of Yama, the God of Death.
Pilgrims believe that a dip in the cold waters of the Yamuna purifies the soul and protects them from untimely death. The Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, is the main shrine here and is surrounded by stunning mountain peaks and glaciers.
Along the banks of the Yamuna, devotees will find several other holy sites and natural hot springs that add to the spiritual aura of the region. As the first stop on the Char Dham journey, Yamunotri sets the tone for a soul-stirring pilgrimage ahead.

GANGOTRI WEATHER
After Yamunotri, the Char Dham Yatra continues to Gangotri, the revered origin of the River Ganga, also known as Ganga Maa. Located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, Gangotri holds immense religious significance as the place where the sacred river descended to Earth through the efforts of King Bhagirath and the blessings of Lord Shiva.
The main temple here, Gangotri Temple, is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and sits beautifully along the riverbank, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. It is believed that taking a dip in the Ganga at this sacred spot cleanses one’s sins and leads to spiritual liberation, or moksha. The divine energy and peaceful aura of Gangotri make it a deeply moving experience for all who visit.

KEDARNATH WEATHER
Kedarnath is the next stop on the Char Dham journey — a revered shrine of Lord Shiva and one of India’s twelve sacred Jyotirlingas. Located at an altitude of 3,583 meters in the Rudraprayag district, Kedarnath is nestled amidst the mighty Himalayas and offers an awe-inspiring spiritual atmosphere.
Kedarnath Temple, said to be first established by the Pandavas and later restored by Adi Shankaracharya, can be reached through a picturesque trekking route. Despite its remote location, thousands of devotees undertake the challenging journey, drawn by unshakable faith and the promise of divine blessings. The raw beauty and deep spirituality of Kedarnath leave a lasting impact on every pilgrim.

BADRINATH WEATHER
The final stop of the Char Dham Yatra is Badrinath, dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Badrinarayan. Located along the Alaknanda River, Badrinath is a prominent Vaishnavite pilgrimage site, included in both the Chota Char Dham and the main Char Dham circuits of India.
The vibrant Badrinath Temple, steeped in ancient legends, stands beautifully before the majestic Neelkanth Peak. Devotees believe that visiting Badrinath bestows divine blessings and spiritual freedom. The temple remains open only for six months due to harsh winters, but during that time, it draws thousands of devotees from across the globe.
