The Kedarnath and Badrinath Do Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimages in India, drawing thousands of devotees every year to the majestic Himalayas in search of spiritual peace and divine blessings. This yatra holds immense significance in Hinduism, as it covers two of the most revered temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
Kedarnath, nestled at an altitude of 3,583 meters in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The temple, believed to have been built by the Pandavas and revived by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century, is set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks and the Mandakini River. Pilgrims trek approximately 18 km from Gaurikund to reach the temple, although helicopter and pony services are also available. The serenity and divine aura of Kedarnath offer a deeply moving spiritual experience.
Badrinath, located at an altitude of 3,133 meters, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Badri Narayan. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams and a key destination in the Char Dham circuit. The temple is situated along the banks of the Alaknanda River and surrounded by the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. Badrinath is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere, the sacred Tapt Kund hot springs, and spiritual importance in Vaishnavism.
Together, Kedarnath and Badrinath represent the unity of Shaivism and Vaishnavism, making the Do Dham Yatra not just a pilgrimage, but a transformative journey of faith, devotion, and inner peace amid the divine Himalayas.

KEDARNATH WEATHER
Kedarnath is a sacred town nestled high in the Garhwal Himalayas and is the most secluded among the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Situated at an impressive altitude of around 3,584 meters, it rests near the source of the Mandakini River, surrounded by stunning snow-draped peaks that create a serene and majestic backdrop.
The town is home to the revered Kedarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is one of the most significant spiritual destinations for Hindus worldwide. According to ancient lore, the temple’s origins trace back to the time of the Pandavas, who, as per mythology, performed deep penance here to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings and forgiveness.
Reaching Kedarnath involves a demanding yet rewarding 18-kilometer uphill trek from Gaurikund through a well-constructed mountain path. For those seeking an easier journey, helicopter services are available, offering a swift and scenic route to the shrine. Regardless of how one reaches, the spiritual atmosphere and breathtaking landscape make Kedarnath a profound experience for every pilgrim.

BADRINATH WEATHER
Badrinath is one of the most revered pilgrimage towns in India, forming a crucial part of the Char Dham circuit. Situated amidst the serene Garhwal Himalayan range, this revered location carries immense spiritual importance in the Hindu faith. The present temple was revived and popularized in the 9th century by the great philosopher and saint Adi Shankaracharya, who played a key role in establishing it as a major center of devotion.
Over the years, the number of pilgrims visiting Badrinath has grown exponentially—from just over 90,000 in the early 1960s to more than half a million annually in recent times. This holy town is frequently referenced in ancient Hindu texts and epics, underscoring its religious importance. As per the Shrimad Bhagavatam, Badrikashram is believed to be the sacred site where Lord Vishnu, incarnated as Nara and Narayana, undertook deep penance for the welfare of mankind.
Perched along the banks of the Alaknanda River and surrounded by majestic peaks, Badrinath not only offers divine experiences but also stirs the soul with its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere. For seekers of both devotion and peace, Badrinath remains a timeless beacon of faith.
